UPDATE: I ordered a Kakwa 40 but returned it after trying it out with my gear. It was just too tight with the bear canister and without the expandable mesh pocket. Other than that it seemed great, though. And the new Kakwa 55 just came out with a bigger mesh pocket, so I ordered one of those! 2024 Kakwa 55 orders are live now. Larger front pocket is very tempting but I’ll stick with my older version. 55L is more than enough space for me already. Love that there’s always improvements being made though. I have done a little over 300 miles with it, with 20-30 lbs; even at the upper end the pack was hardly noticeable. It has really nice shoulder and hipbelt pockets.
