Oct 7, 2013 · Anyway, when I press the 2wd/4hi switch, it just flashes on the switch and dash. Although, I hear something engaging and it feels like 4wd is on when I drove it around on wet road. No way to test unless I lift the truck and try 2wd and then 4wd. Oh and I guess the 4lo will not engage unless the the 4hi stops flashing. Any ideas as to what to ... You usually need to be going about 5 miles an hour before you hit the 4HI button. Once it engages, the light will stop blinking. Then you can stop put the truck in neutral and then puch the 4LO button. The truck will not go into 4LO without first being in 4HI.
