The 504 is “Active”, and the 604 is both “Active/Passive”. Actually they share the same electronics, both have an active/passive switch (which is awesome btw. I had my eye on several basses from which one stood out really hard and I kinda found a good deal (600€ in 10-24 installments) Cort Artisan A4 Plus FMMH. There's a large chunk of content that you can complete between 1-3 months depending on time and it is excellently paced and well explained. Certainly a little pricey but worth it IMHO. I also tried Scotts bass lessons first but found it confusing, badly paced and too much jibber jabber. Go for it! Wanna get better at bass in just 10 minutes a day? These 2 locations make the guitar want to roll forward, so you have to brace it with your plucking hand to keep a slight upward angle.
