I have read enough, and dug enough to know what the possibilities are, sulfur from pesticides of course is one of them, but the smell and taste does not resemble sulfur at all. Pretty positive it's not butane, because I purged the s*** out of it.

I don’t think that’s why people use sulphur. In fact, it’s almost the opposite. People like to use sulphur because it’s organic and far less harsh than other fungicides such as Eagle 20.
