actually the rapier is the only one really useful in both attack and parry departments: only first weapons and curved swords can also both attack and parry in left hand. Fist L1 is terrible but the parry is the best by far. Curved swords have a decent L1 but the L2 parry is pretty damn bad, actually way worse than the rapier.
